Compact 5G industrial gateway. EOL announced 3 November 2025. Replaced by the TRB501.




The TRB500 was Teltonika’s first compact 5G industrial gateway. It delivered up to 1 Gbps downlink with backward compatibility to 4G and 3G. Small aluminium housing with a Gigabit Ethernet port made it a popular choice for point-of-sale systems, digital signage, security installations and IIoT deployments.
With 5G technology moving to Release 16 and eSIM becoming standard in industrial deployments, Teltonika announced the TRB500 end-of-life in November 2025. The replacement is the TRB501, which adds a 2.5 Gbps Ethernet port, Release 16 modem, native SCADA protocol support and built-in eSIM.

Orders are accepted until 3 May 2026. If you have existing TRB500 deployments and need spares or replacements on the same firmware version, buying remaining stock makes sense. Support runs until January 2031 so existing units will receive security updates.
For new deployments, the TRB501 is the right choice. It offers meaningfully better performance, 2.5 Gbps Ethernet, and SCADA protocol support that extends its use into utilities and industrial automation markets the TRB500 could not reach.
