Compact LTE Cat 1 RS232 gateway. Serial-to-cellular bridge for legacy industrial devices.
The TRB142 bridges RS232 serial devices to cellular networks. It is designed for situations where a device with a serial port – an older meter, a weigh bridge controller, a vending machine, a medical device – needs to send data over LTE without a hardware redesign.
The board-level design means the TRB142 can be embedded directly inside a product enclosure. It takes serial data from the RS232 port and forwards it over LTE using transparent serial-to-IP conversion or higher-level protocols like MQTT. RutOS provides the networking stack, SMS control and RMS integration.

If RS485 is needed instead of RS232, see the TRB145. If both RS232 and RS485 are required together with Ethernet and dual SIM, the TRB246 covers all of these in one device.
